Welcome to Harrington Heritage Day!
Founded by the Harrington Historical Society and Public Library, this annual celebration honors our town’s rich agricultural roots—and it’s grown to fill the entire downtown!
Start your day at the Norman Barlow Pavilion with our welcome ceremony, then explore vendors along Fleming Street, Mechanic Street, and the Senior Center parking lot. You’ll find handmade crafts, local organizations, and plenty of delicious food—from burgers and chicken to cheesesteaks, apple dumplings, snow cones, and even scrapple!
Families will love the free kids’ activities, including pony rides, a petting zoo, barrel train, and bounce houses in the Kids Zone.
Enjoy live music at two stages, beginning at 10 a.m. Visit all three Historical Society museums open 9–3, including the Railroad Tower and Burton’s Soda Fountain. Don’t miss the dedication of restored stained-glass windows at noon.
Love classic cars? Check out the Southern Delaware Street Rod Car Show on Commerce Street.
Be sure to visit our local shops and churches—like Trinity UMC’s scrapple breakfast and chicken salad sale.
Parking is available at City Hall, Lake Forest South Elementary, Asbury UMC, the Fire Company, Lawn Care Angels on Weiner Ave and Harrington Public Library.
